In using Local Ferret you are given a non-exclusive, non-transferable opportunity to view, and print information retrieved from the Local Ferret Web site, provided that it is used for informational, non-commercial purposes and you do not remove or obscure the copyright or
any other notices. This directory has been built and published by Local Ferret who is the sole owner of the copyright. Reproduction, copying or image transfer by any means is prohibited.
Your use of the site is at your own risk. Local Ferret does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage, financial, material or physical, caused as a result of using any of the businesses and services listed or advertised in this directory, nor by referrals by any of the businesses. Local Ferret does not endorse the content of the sites on the Local Ferret Web site, nor on any links.. Although we do not knowingly accept any sites on Local Ferret that are racist, sexist, or in any way illegal, we have no control over links from third party sites which could have content that some people could object to. Local Ferret shall not be liable for viruses or any damage to equipment infected due to your browsing or use of the site or a result of your downloading any material whatsoever from the Web site or any links.
We do our best to ensure that our information on our site is accurate, but cannot be responsible for mistakes or omissions howsoever caused. Businesses that submit their own wording are totally responsible for checking it. Users should not rely on Local Ferret when making business, financial or other decisions.
We do not become involved in any disputes between listed businesses and their clients or suppliers.

Classifications
All the categories used in this directory are only to be regarded as a guide for search purposes, they are not to be read as a “trade description” as used within the Trade Descriptions Act. Appearance of a business under a certain category does not reflect on their abilities or qualifications to carry out that particular trade or profession. Local Ferret may add or delete categories without notice at their absolute discretion.

Failure of service
Local Ferret shall not be liable for electronic or service failure of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be error free, or without interruption.

Limitation of Liability
Local Ferret nor its employees or agents will be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages from the use of the Local Ferret Web site, or the inability to use it. Including those caused by theft, unauthorised access or irrevocable damage to our records, programs or services.

Copyright
Local Ferret, the logo associated with it, the design and database, are solely owned by Local Ferret and are copyright in line with current UK law and EU Directives.
The following are prohibited:
Modification of the data, or merging it with other data. Using the data to compile databases. Using the data in a manner likely to cause losses of any nature, or bring Local Ferret into disrepute. Using the data for any type of telephone, direct, or electronic marketing.

Terms and Conditions for Submissions and Advertisers
When making a submission or advertising on Local Ferret you are deemed to have read and complied with all the terms, conditions and policies that appear on the site. Failure to comply with any Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policies will lead to immediate termination of your listing. Local Ferret may refuse or terminate a listing at their absolute discretion. Your Web site is deemed to have no illegal content, nor any links to sites which are, or contain illegal matter. If this situation does arise we will remove your site from our database, for which there will be a fee equal to your submission or advertising fee. Therefore, there will be no refunds under these circumstances. If such material is displayed by your site, you agree to indemnify Local Ferret against any legal proceedings occurring as a result.
You will proof read and correct your listing or advertisement and be entirely responsible for informing Local Ferret of any updates you require to be made.
In the event of a client requiring termination of their listing or advertisement, no refund is due to them.
We reserve the right to alter our pricing or packages at any time.
You may provide links from your site to the Local Ferret site, provided that you do not remove or obscure the copyright. You will discontinue the link if instructed to do so by us.

Changes to Privacy Policy and any Terms and Conditions
Local Ferret reserves the right to alter any of its Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy wording at any time without notice. However, all paying advertisers will be informed of any alterations that affect them.

Payment
When you make a payment for services on Local Ferret, your consent is assumed to provide information to the third party necessary to process your transactions, such as credit/debit card companies and the payment gateway provider we use. Payment is made in advance by cheque, or by debit/credit card via Paypal. Paypal is a third party service, when you sign up with them you will enter into a separate contract governing your relationship with them. More information at www.paypal.co.uk Paypal uses SSL and an encryption key of 128bits (the highest commercially available). Older browsers do not support SSL. You need Netscape 3, IE3 or later versions.

Jurisdiction
The law of the United Kingdom presides over all matters appertaining to this Web site. If any one section, or sentence of these terms and conditions is deemed unenforceable at law it shall not negate the whole.
